During European Day 2021, the Italian students of the CommuniTV team went around the historic center of Perugia to practice with smartphones and cameras: they had to interview people about Europe.
The students learned how to choose the best location for an interview and how to adjust the light and microphones.
The theme chosen was what Europe did during the pandemic and the responses showed a general recognition of Europe as a promoter of the vaccination campaign and as a guarantor in general of the right to health of European citizens. However, criticisms also emerged on the management of the vaccination campaign at the local level.
In general, concern has emerged about the delay in the delivery of the required vaccine doses, which moves us away from the average level set in the national plan to combat the spread of Covid 19.
Currently, the percentage of coverage of the population (those who have received at least the first dose of vaccine) in our region is still low (Umbria is one of the Italian regions that is the most late in the vaccination campaign), a fact that is very worrying as the criterion of administration is that of the age groups starting from the eldest to the youngest.
At this rate, there are fears that young people may start being vaccinated no earlier than the beginning of autumn.
